When we got to the airport we tried to find Uncle Ross.When we found Uncle Ross he took us home and we had a big rest.

At Dubai
We had another big flight another 7 hours to Dubai.When we got off the plane we got on a shuttle bus and whent to the Dubai airport. We waited there for 2 hours. Then we got on another plane and flew to Heathrow airport in London.

At Singapore
At Singapore Airport we had a big walk up and down the airport just to get some exercise before we went on our next flight. The weather was about 28 degrees. It was a pretty good walk. I had really blocked ears. They kept aching and wouldn’t stop. We flew on the Emirates plane. It was a big plane. It took another 7 hours. On the back of the seat was a screen and remote controls. You could play video games, movies and TV. Our next stop was Dubai.

The Big Airport
We drove to Melbourne and I saw a plane it said I taut I taw a Puddy Cat.
It was a New Zealand plane. The plane had just landed. We got to Melbourne at 7.30 at night. We had 7 hours on the plane on the first flight. The first stop we had was at Singapore.

On the Plane!
On the first flight when we were landing my ears were okay but Katherine's ears were aching so we suggested for her to taste some chewing gum but she said no. Then it was the second trip on the plane and that was okay. I love the part when we take off.
On the third flight, the plane had to fly in circles for 20 minutes before we could land and then 10 more minutes to get to the London airport. I was so excited but when I heard that the announcement said that we would have to wait, I was so angry and disappointed so I played Tik Rack Toe on a computer game. Then I watched Mum playing a trivia quiz, and she was called Car and six other passengers were playing against Mum. Dad’s name was Ming and the other passengers’ names were Liv, Ruby, Lucy and Tony.

When I was waiting at the airport I saw a a plane and it said I tawt I taw a puddy tat! Our plane is a big plane and it is a Emirates plane.

Are we there yet?
It's a long way to get to England. You forget how awful 26 hours in transit can be until you are doing it. E&K found the first leg to Singapore really wearing - both from the excitement of everything new on the plane and for our trip to be finally underway and because they were getting more and more tired but didn't want to sleep. K's ears hurt on the descent but she refused to wear the special earplugs - EarPlanes - I had bought for her or to try anything else we suggested.Transit in Singapore was very fast - we had a couple of quick walks around the terminal to get the circulation going again and then we were off. K&A were asleep before take off, E not long after that and I dozed for a few hours. The girls had about five hours of good sleep, which was great because it was rough for most of the early part of that leg.Dubai Airport - like every other airport in the world - is undergoing construction work. (I have theory that all airports are in a constant of construction/ reconstruction to encourage people to get through them as fast as possible.) At Dubai this meant we got off the plane onto the tarmac and then took a shuttle bus to the terminal. Unbelievably it was 38 degrees Celsius when we landed at 5am. But it was a really pleasant 38 - still and dry and dark. Transit here was interesting - there were thousands of people even though it was early - their paths intersecting as they journeyed to many different places.
The girls were really bright for the last leg, which was in daylight the whole way. Our goal seemed to become more elusive the closer we got - with only one runway open at Heathrow we were forced to circle for 20 minutes before landing and then was had to sit on the tarmac for another 20 minutes before a gate became available.
Ross was waiting for us and drove us back to his house. E&K were wide-eyed and fascinated the whole time in the car - taking in every scene: the huge city, jam-packed houses, double-decker buses and that verdant green everywhere even though it is the end of summer.
